  • First One-Track US Promo CD Single: .38 Special, "Like No Other Night", shipped 15 April 1986 by A&M (US)[3].
  • First Commercially-Released CD Single: Unclear. Possibly Frankie Goes to Hollywood: "Rage Hard" (ZTT ZTID 22), UK 1986[4]; other formats were issued 22 Aug 1986 in the UK but print ads for that release only mention vinyl versions so the CD was probably released sometime later. Another candidate is Genesis: "Land of Confusion" (Virgin SNEG 3-12), UK 1986[5].
