Tri-C / Route 25 Drive-In

Location:  3251 Broadway SE at Woodward
Open:  19??-19??
Capacity:  350
Owners:  Carl Halberg

Don't know too much about this one, except that the site is now home to a giant warehouse for Sexton Foods. (See the Sixty-Six Drive-In for more ruminations on the phenomenon of food warehouses located where old drive-ins used to be.) When we started our field trip to check out old drive-in sites, we didn't know this was even here -- but we drove right past it when going from the Cactus to the Sunset and I swear to god that as we went by I was thinking that it would be a great place for a drive-in. Wooo, somebody call Agent Mulder!

"Tri-C" was the original name, which was later changed to "Route 25," presumably because of the drive-in's location near the highway that would later be rechristened Interstate 25 (sfx: spits on ground).
